X487.1: Leadership and Technology Management

If you have an inner drive to challenge status quo and become a better manager, this course may be right for you. Learn how highly successful leaders lead people and achieve greatness. As a clinical technology professor and management trainer, Dr. Chang teaches you how technical professionals can be transformed into successful executives. This course develops you foundational skills building and action-oriented leadership, helps you understand the timely principles about management framework and implementation, and transforms you to think, act, and communicate more differently.

X487.2: Innovation for Entrepreneurs/Intrapreneurs

What would you “innovate” differently if you knew 9 out of 10 new product launches are failures? Why would a company fail when they have the recipe for success: ideal market, capital, and a great product? As an entrepreneur and technology professor, Dr. Chang teaches you how to innovate differently. This course is intended for entrepreneurial startups or the brave souls in a new product division of a large corporation (intrapreneurs). Topics include empirical creativity, risk management, innovation model, and innovation leadership.

X487.4: Finance for Non-Financial Technical Managers

Equip yourself with financial intelligence for career advancement and company success. Non-financial Technical Managers or Directors often involves financial discussion in decision-making processes. Understanding financial reports, such as P&L, Cash Flows, and Balance Sheet, helps you make sound judgment in decision-making, planning, and control. It facilitates your team management skills with higher-level confidence and efficiency. The instructor takes an easy-to-understand approach explaining the financial management essentials with user perspective, rather than producer perspective, because most Technical Managers are users, rather than preparers, of financial statements.
